About Us

Calderdale Shopmobility opened in January 1999 and is a member of National Federation of Shopmobility UK.

We can offer a choice of 12 powered scooters for town centre use, 4 small scooters that can fold up and fit into the boot of a car, perfect for taking on holiday, a good selection of manual wheelchairs and 3 electric wheelchairs. We also have 2 x 4 wheeled walkers and 4 x 3 wheeled walkers.

Our aim is to provide freedom, independence and encourage social inclusion for anyone with poor mobility whether a resident of Calderdale or a visitor to the area.

Booking is advisable to avoid disappointment.

When visiting Calderdale Shopmobility for the first time we ask you to bring a form of identification containing your name and current address. An appointment is required by anyone wishing to use a powered scooter; full training is given to new users and everyone is escorted on their first visit to ensure their safety.

We are unable to offer training on electric wheelchairs.
